Educated as a civil engineer, Barclay began writing science fiction stories in 1951 for New Worlds. He also contributed stories to Astounding SF, Science Fantasy and Authentic Science Fiction, but his primary output was for New Worlds. His first novel, Of Earth and Fire appeared more than a decade after his last short story. His final work seems to have appeared around 1980. His other works include The City and the Desert (1976), No Magic Carpet (1976), The Cruel Years of Winter (1978) and The Guardian at Sunset (1980). |
