Harmon seems to have appeared on the scene in 1954 with the publication of The Smuggler in Spaceway magazine. Over the next decade he wrote more than 50 short stories and novels in the science fiction genre for the pulp magazines such as Amazing Stories and Galaxy Science Fiction, etc. During the 1960's he turned his hand to writing about radio, beginning with The Great Radio Heroes in 1967. He produced a number of anthologies and works on the subject of radio and its stars and continued publishing until his death from a heart attack in 2010. Harmon also produced some Western and Crime stories. His works include Name Your Symptom (1956), No Substitutions (1958), The Contested Earth (1959), The Planet With No Nightmare (1961), The Last Place on Earth (1962), The Place Where Chicago Was (1962), The Great Radio Comedians (1970), The Great Movie Serials (1973) and The Godzilla Book (1986). |
