Dalrymple came to prominence when she won a $10,000 prize in a novel writing contest. The book, Diane of the Green Van, went on to become a best-seller, reaching number eight on the list for 1914. Her last novel was published in 1922. She was also a contributor of short stories to magazines such as Ladies' Home Journal. Her other works include The Colonel's Maid (1910), Uncle Noah's Christmas Inspiration (1912), Traumerei (1912), The Lovable Meddler (1915), Jimsy, the Christmas Kid (1915), When the Yule-log Burns (1916), Kenny (1917) and Fool's Hill (1922). |
