Died: Jan. 6, 1941 - Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Educated at local schools in Kentucky, Fannie married John D. Macaulay, a Louisville businessman. In 1906, under the pseudonym of Frances Little, she published The Lady of Decoration, a story of a missionary teacher in Japan, which became the number one best-seller for 1907. She never again attained the success of her first book, but did continue to publish a few more works, which included Little Sister Snow (1909), The Lady and Sana San (1912), The House of the Misty Star (1915), Camp Jolly (1917), Jack and I in Lotus Land (1922) and Early American Textiles (1931).
