Educated at Bedford High School, Page began writing very early and completed her first novel, which was published by Girl's Own Paper, when still in her teens. Over the next few years she wrote a number of novels, but was unable to find a publisher that was interested. In 1902, she married George Alexander Dobbin and the couple spent some time in Ireland before moving to Rhodesia. In 1907, she published Love in the Wilderness which was based on her experiences in Rhodesia and proved popular at the time. A number of Page's works were later made into films. She suffered from ill health for a number of years before dying in Rhodesia after a prolonged illness. Her other works include The Edge of Beyond (1908), Paddy the Next Best Thing (1908), Silent Rancher (1909), The Rhodesian (1912), Some There Are (1916), The Supreme Desire (1916), The Veldt Trail (1919), Far From the Limelight and Other Tales (1920) and Jill on a Ranch.
